For the woman in your life…

If you’re anything like my boyfriend, you’re going to be asking your girlfriend/mother/sister not so subtle questions to try and get them to spill what they want for Christmas, and if they’re anything like me, they’re going to ignore you.

I know it can be daunting going in to a shop standing in the middle of an aisle at the endless brands and thinking – shit. However, I’ve got all the tips and tricks you need. From affordable to luxury, here are the 2016 must haves. Happy Shopping!

  1. A contour kit. It’s all the rage right now, those Instagram selfie stars with their  perfectly structured faces; all achieved with one of these bad boys.
There are affordable options available at your local boots, or maybe take a look online on Debenhams at some of the more luxurious kits – such as Kat Von D‘s shade and light contour kit which is a personal favourite of mine.
  2. A blanket. Every woman loves extra cushions and throws all over the house; it gives us purpose. Mermaid Blankets are an interesting and fun twist on an everyday blanket to snuggle up into with your favourite box set and are also very affordable, coming in a variety of colours and patterns every girl would love! If you wanted a more sentimental gift, try a handmade blanket available to order any way you like.
  3. A Soap and Glory gift set. Again, available at your local boots. There are loads to choose from, from different sizes and scents that’ll impress without breaking the bank.
  4. A makeup bag. I’m always looking for an excuse to buy a new makeup bag to make room for my habits and they are so affordable most the time it’s a simple gift, great for travelling with, and I can guarantee any makeup lover would appreciate it.
  5. Perfume. I don’t think I can walk through House of Fraser without drowning myself in every sample I come across, which often ends in a weird cocktail of smells I immediately regret. However, Marc Jacobs is a God send when it comes to perfume and who doesn’t want to smell like happiness and all that good stuff all the time?
  6. An eyeshadow palette. Too faced have palettes that actually smell like chocolate, what more do I even need to say? Urban Decay are also an option, being one of the best selling brands internationally. One of the naked palettes is a staple in every woman’s makeup collection, offering a variety of looks in just one place. Pretty sure they’d love you forever.
  7. An ebook/tablet. For the avid readers in your life a kindle or tablet could be ideal, being affordable for the quality, she can download as many books as she’d like and take it anywhere she goes.
  8. A camera. Those Fujifilm Instax cameras are literally everything. They come in so many cute colours with a variety of film to choose from, creating instant polaroid memories to treasure forever.
  9. Concert/theatre tickets. A night at the ballet is magical, even if that’s not her usual cup of tea, watching The Nutcracker at Christmas was an experience I’ll remember forever. It’s also a gift you could do with her, which makes it even more special.
  10. Boots. If you know her shoe size and style, a pair of boots could go down a treat. Knee High boots are on trend right now, coming in different heel sizes and colours, no girl has enough shoes. If those won’t please her, a good pair of ankle boots need to be a part of every wardrobe, whether heeled or not, there are so many choices you’re bound to find a pair she’d love.

All these gifts are easy to pick up last minute so get to it and make it a Christmas to remember. I better start my shopping too! Eeeek.
